Helping Those In Need
It’s almost that time of year again, Nerds. Thanksgiving is a wonderful time of year that’s about family, celebration, being grateful for what you have and sharing with others. Unfortunately not all of us are fortunate enough to be in situations where we can readily make that kind of commitment, and that’s where the Alpha Nerds come in. Last year we started an event called ThANGsgiving, which is centered around giving back, and serving the less fortunate. We held streams on Twitch where every dollar donated went directly toward helping and supporting a family in need.
The Work We’ve Done
Through our efforts we raised over eight thousand dollars over the course of three weeks and used that money to help thirteen different families have wonderful thanksgiving days and create beautiful memories with their loved ones that will last a lifetime, giving each family over one hundred dollars. We also bought them Thanksgiving day meals, all they had to do was cook the food, and each meal served between five and seven people. thANGsgiving was an amazing event and we’re grateful for the opportunity we had to serve those in need last year and we’re looking forward to doing it again this year, and hopefully serving even more people, but we need your help to do it.
How You Can Help
During thANGsgiving season, spread the word about Alpha Nerds Guild and what we’re doing to your friends and family. The more people that know about what we’re doing, the more donations we can gather, the more donations we can gather, the more money we have to help serve people. And everything that we don’t use for thANGsgiving will be rolled over into our efforts for helping people during the Christmas holiday. Not one penny will be wasted, and everything you do, whether you spread the word about us or find it in your heart to give, will be appreciated.
