Those that have been apart of the video game world are more than familiar with console exclusives. From Nintendo’s almost reliance on first party games to the mascots of Sony and Xbox. Having something that makes their platform unique, is a way to ensure a user base.

Well now Microsoft has made new exclusive with their Xbox, but it’s not in the form of a new video game. Microsoft has teamed up with Marvel for an exclusive Xbox One X. Again this is nothing new. In the past, we’ve seen exclusive console and controller with properties like Halo and Gears of War. And owners of the console can buy skins to give them a unique flair. The team up with Marvel has produced a Black Panther themed console.

On the top of the Xbox, we have the mirrored image of the Black Panther’s mask, one half of the mask is from T’challa’s version and the other of Killmonger’s. Surrounding the mask are various Wakandian designs with circular patterns. The sides are gold, and the front has a similar gray pattern as on the top over black. On the left is the Black Panther title. The console also comes with two controllers. One to reflect T’challa’s mask design, and the other being Killmonger.

Now before you go rushing to Amazon or Game Stop to preorder this Xbox, it’s not available for sale. In fact, Microsoft has said that they are only releasing 5 of the consoles to the public. That’s right you read it right, 5. So Xbox has created a sweepstake for those 5 winners to be selected randomly.

The sweepstakes started on May 8th and will last until May 29 at 11:59. You have to visit the website here and enter your email and verifying information to enter. You have to be over the age of 13 to enter the contest. To increase your chances of winning you can enter your information every day until the contest is over, but you can only enter once a day. The winners will be selected randomly and contacted via email.

As for what they will win, it will be the console and both controllers as well as a copy of Black Panther in 4K. All that being said though, the winners will have to get a 4K TV to get the best resolution. For more information on the contest, be sure to visit the rules on the sweepstakes page.

But if you want to add some flair to your own console, don’t worry I got your six. If you head over to Dbrand you can find skin wraps for every modern gaming platform, phones, and laptops. At the site, you’ll find that you wrap a specific area for $5 each wrap. Though that adds up real quick. They offer a variety of color schemes or texture looking patterns.

Over at DecalGirl they offer more pictured style skins. They too offer their skins across a variety of electronics. What makes them stand out though is they offer the ability to order a custom skin based on an image you upload. For an Xbox One and one controller, they offer bundles for $20.

Lastly, we got Skinit and much like the others, they offer skins for a variety of electronics. One slight downside as compared to DecalGirl is that for their Xbox bundle they run at $40. But what separates them is their vast library as well as their ability to do custom orders. They off skins that include MLB, NBA, NHL, NFL, colleges, and pop cultures icons like Marvel, DC, Disney, and anime. At the time of writing, they offer 11 different skins that feature Black Panther. And if you got more than console or devise they are having a sale for buy on and get one 50% off.

But what do you all think? Are you going to enter the contest? Do you have a skin on your console? Let’s know and post pictures of them and tag Alphanerdsguild on Instagram.
